Dark Side.

Miyako

"By who?" Daisuke shot me a withering look and I cringed. Me and my big mouth... I just couldn't stop myself, could I? He looked so depressed that I felt pretty bad. I of all people knew how it felt like to be dumped (again, no less!). "How about I buy you a drink?" I asked.

I noticed a red-haired guy coming over to us, looking kind of concerned. I thought he looked pretty cute, in a sleepy kind of way. Daisuke was glancing at his shoulder again, which was getting kind of disconcerting... He caught me looking and glanced away quickly at once as though embarrassed. What was up with that?

:: Izzy ::

WOW.

The girl that was helping out Daisuke looked at me!

She was kinda cute.

::Ken::

I couldn't help it. I stopped breathing when I heard those words echoing in my mind.

The only thing running through my mind (which I'm sure he heard quite clearly) was: Oh Fuck.

I gulped down the rest of the juice hurriedly, and avoided eye-contact. What was there to say to someone who could hear your every thoughts? On that note, when had this even started? I tried recalling the first incident, but nothing significant popped out...



::Jyou::

I sat in a secluded corner, and simply observed the happenings of the club. As I watched all of them, prancing around with each other, a plan formed in my mind...

I smiled, and waited for the perfect moment to execute it. With any luck, I'd have a ton of new patients to deal with come morning.

Miyako

I smiled at redhead, tucking a strand of hair self-consciously behind my ear. Now would be a nice time to chat, but Daisuke was still looking depressed. I silently gestured to Daisuke in explanation, and he chose that moment to mutter something at his shoulder again.

He seemed to get the message - that was good.

"Wanna join us?" I asked. To Daisuke, I grabbed him roughly by the shoulder. "C'mon, cheer up! It's not the end of the world." And with that I began dragging him not too gently toward the bar. Who knew stacking boxes of goods could make you so strong...?

:: Izzy ::


I fought back the urge to chat when she grabbed Dai's shoulder. Later I would make conversation with her.

I nodded when she asked me if I wanted to join them, and followed the pair to the bar.

Miyako

I ordered three drinks, telling Takeru to mix whatever he felt like - I was pretty confident by now that it would be something good.

I turned to face the other two, and as I did I thought I saw something hovering around Daisuke's head. It was just a momentary glimpse, and it disappeared as soon as I had turned. If I hadn't been mistaken, it had looked like a teeny tiny doll. Or something. Whatever, it must've been the lighting.

Takeru handed over the drinks and I passed them around, thanking him. This one had a slightly spicy and tangy flavour. It was good, in a different way.

"So what's your name?" I asked.

:: Izzy ::

"I'm Izzy, I live by myself in a small flat 10 minutes from here, I love computers and House and Hugh Laurie and I never go anywhere without my laptop and what drink is this? and -"

Miyako

"Wow!" I laughed at the sudden long speech from Izzy. "Izzy? That's a cute name... is it short for anything?" I glanced at the drink in my hand. "I dunno what it is, but it's nice and that's good enough for me. And oh, I'm Miyako."

He looked a little sheepish. I grinned. "Oh, go on... this is so much better than awkward one-liners!"

:: Izzy ::

"Well, it's short for Izumi (?? Is that right??), but most people call me Izzy... Hmm.. the drink has a wierd taste, but I like it! And you like it too, so it's even better!"

(Izumi is his surname. But that's fine )

Miyako

So he seemed a little overenthusiastic, but it was a refreshing change. I grinned. "You get used to the taste after awhile. It kinda grew on me."

The dancefloor was starting to fill up... the music was pretty good. I was pretty much in the mood for a dance, myself.

::Willis::
Wh-wh-what?! So that was it?! Just because he could hear my thoughts I wasn't welcome anymore? Fine. It was cool. I guess everybody gets rejected sometimes... Trying very hard to keep my thoughts quite, I got up and headed for the dance floor. Maybe someone more adventurous would be up for a dance...

:: Izzy ::

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a blonde head towards the dancefloor. I took a deep breath, and stared at the girl..

"Would you care for a dance?"

::Yamato::

Hikari was at my side in a flash. Where the hell had she been for the last few minutes? Well it didn't matter.

"You wanna dance?"


::Taichi::

"Well," I laughed at the girl. She was funny. Almost like a guy, but with a hot body. "I would ask you if it hurt... but that might be your line."

She blushed and under the harsh club lights, she glowed a funny shade of pink. "Well, nameless girl, are you going to buy me a drink?"

::Hikari::
Ignoring the fact that the person chatting up Jun sounded ever-so-similar to my own beloved sibling... Dancing sounded good.

"That'd be great." I glanced over my shoulder, half expecting Daisuke to pop up mumbling. I mentally shook myself, he had other people to freak out. Hikari, lets concentrate on the situation. Dancing. "But can you dance?" I winked, smiled and waited for the reply.


[Yeah, time for Yamato's job to come in handy...]

::Yamato::

Hikari stared up at me with large, tempting brown eyes and I slightly melted. But I shook it away and smiled. Hidden talents were my specialty.

"The question is, can you keep up?"

Daisuke

What's the sound of two hands clapping? This statement right here:

"I wish she'd trip."

::Hikari::
I'm not entirely sure what happened. One minute I was walking, the next I had a rather sharp pain in my elbow. Luckily I hadn't felt face-first, or into someone's crotch (happened to me in my insecure preteen stage- I've been scarred ever since).

I laughed at myself, jumping back onto my feet and smiling at Yamato. "Well, perhaps not. But I'll give it a go anyway!"

::Yamato::

I had to laugh at the distressed expression on her face. The flushed look was quickly replaced with that sinfully sweet smile. Damn, this girl may be the death of me. She had nothing to worry about. I'd make sure she kept up. She was agile enough.

Call if fate... call it damn luck, I don't give a fuck what you call it. The perfect song came on and I knew that this was going to be fun. The sound of the barking, then the breathy whispers...


She said she'd give it a go... and dear lord, yes she was!

::Willis::
I was angry. I didn't know why. I was hurting... Over some stupid kid with an emo hair cut. I shook myself, scowling. Then I caught sight of a very pretty blonde girl, dancing in the crowd. It was payback time.

I sidled up to her, whispering in her ear the first line that came to me-

"Baby, you must work in Subway- because you've just given me a footlong."

::Hikari::
If I had a spare breathe to pray, I would've thanked the gods my mother had made me stick with dancing lessons until I was 18. But in a room full of gyrating bodies, loud music and with an incredible dance partner, breathing is one of those things a girl simply doesn't have time for.

Even with all my tuition, I liked to believe that at least part of my dancing was natural talent- the beat jarred my hips, up my waist, around my arms, all the way into my head. I wasn't bothered about impressing anyone, just having fun.

Yamato seemed to be having a good time- he was a very good dancer. But even if he'd had two left feet, he still would've been the only guy in the room I'd want to dance with. His hair, his skin, his shirt reflected the Technicolor strobe lighting mesmerizingly. His body kept twisting with the music, like he could melt away into nothing any second. The only constant thing was his eyes, which were a brilliant, smokey blue. And they were locked on mine.

I tried my hardest not to blush...

::Yuri::

I'm not much of a dancer. But with all the people in here who can't dance anyway, I guess it might not be too bad. Plus, I think I'm drunk enough to do something I'd regret later. I turn to Sora-san. "Want to dance?"

Miyako

So music and dancing weren't my best talents. But who cares? It was only clubbing. And everybody was doing their own thing. "Why not?" I grinned at Izzy. I left Daisuke to his drink and we headed to the dancefloor.

I bopped happily to the infectious beat, swaying and twirling around Izzy. After such a long day, it felt so good to let myself go. He looked like he was having fun too. The night was looking pretty good...

Takeru

It looked like almost everybody was moving to the dancefloor. I busied myself with wiping the glasses, oh joy. Daisuke remained at the bar, nursing his drink.

"Hey. How's it going so far?" I thought he looked a little bored, but I wasn't sure. "How's the drink?"

:: Izzy ::

I couldn't keep my eyes off of the girl moving around me.. I think her name was Miyako.. I was sure I had a stupid grin on my face but I wasn't fussed. I tried to show her my dance moves, but...

I think I reminded her more of Gary Brolsma.

::Sora::

Shit.
I really can't dance, and now that everyone had gone to the dance floor, Yuri wanted me to go with him.
Four years of dance lessons hadn't done anything for me! I was going to look like a fool.

I looked down at my drink. I had already had a lot, if I look stupid I could always use the excuse that I was drunk...
I looked back up at the dance floor and saw Kari and Yamato dancing together, it aggravated me to see those two together again.

My mind was made up, I turned back to Yuri, smiled and nodded.
Things were about to get interesting.

::Yamato::

Hikari's body twisted and raved around in front of me and when she turned around in a little twirl, I pulled her hips to mine. I had to bend my knees a bit to make sure we were leveled but from there... I didn't hold back. I ground my hips against her backside and she tensed slighty before letting go of her inhibitions.

Her head fell back and rested on my shoulder. I felt her hands snake down to my thighs. I watched as Sora half-dragged Yuri to dance. Good for them.

The beat thumped harder and then I caught the sight of Daisuke glaring at me.

I smirked, a devious glint in my eyes, and nibbled on the curved of Hikari's neck.


::Taichi::

She wasn't talking. So maybe I embarassed her.

"Jun, was it? I'm Kohaku. Are you just gonna stand there or do I need to produce a corny, over-used pick up line too?"

::Hikari::
This night just couldn't get any better- it had been ages since I'd danced like this, and the last time was with Daisuke (a joke, at least on my part, at prom). But this was different... More fun, more dangerous... There were so many reasons why I shouldn't be doing this. My brother would kill me, for a start. Daisuke... god knows what Daisuke would do.

But when I saw that Sora girl from earlier scowling at me from across the floor, it was all worth it. I smiled, I waved. I let my hands explore a little more than was entirely decent.

I would probably regret it all tomorrow, but now I wasn't bothered. I was having fun.
