--The following is an excerpt from “Fantasiestucke: Gut und Besser”--


It was at this point that—amidst the merry-making and genie-in-a-bottling—this epic tale takes a turn for the worse. For Benign’s greatest nemesis, ARCtheElite (Codename “Matt”) had been mustering his strength. It was only a matter of time before the forces of good (Benign) and better (Elite) would clash, and both of them knew it.

While “Matt” bided his time behind a veil of lies (especially in the “Personality” section. Benign had done little, except to revolutionize the way RP was conducted in Digi-Challenge-Forum.) Benign’s only significant accomplishment during this time was to create the persona, Iori-in-a-bottle, in a masterful attempt to gain popularity—and allies.

Two individuals pledged their allegiance to BenignUser: a princess by the name of Jaded (who also happened to be his younger sister by adoption), and a genie from the wonderful and magical land of Pot. With these newfound allies, Benign believed that victory was within his grasp. He allowed his ego to inflate beyond healthy proportions (actually, it inflated to OVER 9000!), and sat back to view his handiwork, in the form of "Benign’s Finest Moment." Not only did he successfully defend himself from being labelled “perv,” he acquired a new ally, in the form of Gennai’s alter ego, Aana the Mighty!

But little did Benign know: he had overlooked two major details. First, he had insulted his nemesis. ARCtheElite threw back his trench coat in a cool and extravagant fashion, and boldly announced a "Duel of Honour."

Benign agreed, and the forces of good and better met at the ancient temples in an epic clash. Organic flying machines (known to Benign and Arc as Zerg Overlords) filled the skies and explosions rocked the plateau. Scores of hapless troops fell upon the unforgiving blades of living tanks (Ultralisks), while missiles and Arclite fire rained death upon the benign invaders.

In the end, the forces of good were victorious, but it only served to inflate his ego (now to OVER 15000!). He failed to realize the predicament he was in.

And it was here, at the height of his victory, that his untimely misfortune (and the crucial second detail) struck:

He had no allies.

But wait!!! Why is it that Benign has no allies now? What happened to Princess, and Genie, and Gennai?!

And the cliffhanger from chapter 2 has yet to be resolved! :O

Also, what does the title translate to? I can tell that it's German, but I'm not sure what it means. ^_^
