2009 Winter Gift-fics -- Wait, Make That Summer 2010

You know what would be awesome right now? Some Secret Santa style fics! (And for the dudes and dudettes at Coppenhagen to get with the program, but whatever.)

You like your fellow forum buddies, don't you? Don't you?
(That's the guilt trip part of this operation, in case you couldn't tell )

By taking part in this challenge, you're getting into two things:
a) You'll be writing a fic for someone.
b) You'll be recieving a fic from someone else.

And the vast majority of people enjoy recieving gifts so I'm guessing ya'll pretty down with the second thing.

This brings us to the taking part.

Phase I: Informing the world of your taking part. While you could use a megaphone and screech until your voice gives, I reckon commenting here will suffice.
All you need to do is comment. (Preferences and such will come later.)

Phase II: Once we have everyone who wishes to participate roped in, I'll engage Phase II.
It'll envolve Private Messages, Preferences, and maybe a racoon.

Okayyyy....

For my fic, I want something humorous (duh) but not too crack-ish. Pairings = don't care. It must have Ken in it somewhere and he must do something fantastical of course.

As for the plot, well... I don't know. Obviously Ken will play a role in the plot, along with his fantastical deed...

And that's about it I think.

Likes: If it's romance, I like cuteness (Yes, CUTE). If it's non-romance, I'd like something realistic. If it's supposed to be non-realistic, then I'd like imagination. If it's supposed to be non-imaginative, refer to tvtropes.org (fun site, too!)

Dislikes: Whatever's not above.

Plot Points: I've recently fallen in love with the Xanatos Gambit.

Fanfic clichés you cant stand: The whole jealous girlfriend/boyfried thing. It gets on my nerves.

Likes: Something light-hearted. Humour is key! Romance isn't a big deal for me. In fact, I don't even mind if there's no focus on that.

Dislikes: Um, anything serious, or digimon (monsters)-centered.

Prefered Protagonists: Ken and Daisuke!

Plot Points: I'm easy with that. It's up to you. Just, no Yaoi.

Fanfic clichés you cant stand: Overly focusing on OCs. Perpetual love-sickness. I think that should be it. Yay!

Likes: Well, I'm good with the light-hearted route, but if you want something serious, I'm down with that, too. I ship pretty much all of them except the sibling ships and the digimon-human ships (but I don't think I'll have a problem with that here).

Dislikes: Mentioned above

Protagonists: Hrm... well, I'm good at writing Daisuke, so. Taichi too. So whichever, or both.

Plot points: Maybe some leader duo mischeif? XDDD

Detested cliches: good god, no mistletoe. PLEASE. Among the lovesickness and OCs and jealousy mentioned by the others.

Likes: I like parodies, satire, friendship fics, drama, and various cutesy-stuff. I'm also a big sucker for Tai/Kari sibling fics.

Dislikes: AU's, cookie-cutter/same-sex romance, the digimon taken out of digimon, culture-swaps (ie. American culture being a big part of a story set in Japan).

Preferred Protagonists: Taichi, Hikari, Jyou, Koushiro, Mimi, Daisuke, Miyako (not necessarily in that order).

Plot Points: surprise me!

Fanfic clichés you cant stand: the "I can't live unless I'm dating X" persona, the "I'm no longer friends with X cause X is dating Y" persona, and of course the "I'm an incompetent doofus and I can't do anything right yet none of my character faults will be addressed in this fic cause that's just how everyone thinks I should be" persona.


That was four dislikes and three "can't stand" things. Hope that doesn't mean I'm now the "too precise" guy. lol

I've divided this into little parts, not to cause inconveniance -no, really!- but because it's otherwise unmanageable. I'm simply not very organised, so sorry for this being slow!

Likes: Borderline crack really, something a little bit odd you know me.
Dislikes: Angst, serious issues... Urgh. Oh, and lets not forget Takari ><
Prefered Protagonists: Oh oh oh... I actually have no idea :/ as long as they're not Digimon. I don't even remember who I write well :/
Plot Points: Uhm... some really, really small issue that can be whirled completely out of control and generally be a tool for chaos
