Yeah...the rant started out okay, then it got into a very interesting area. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so too...

Back to little girls who think they're older!

So I'm here in Palm Springs... enjoying (not really because I'm sick) the fun.

Well my cousin - who is 12(?) - decided to go swimming. Nothing wrong with that, right?

Except that she went in tiny shorts and a red top that goes completely see-through when wet! I was like, "Where the hell are your clothes!? I'll lend you some if you need any!!"

I think I read somewhere that the cause of all this is the dolls kids used to play with, namely Barbie for the girls.

Hey! Don't blame this on Barbie!

If anything, Barbie is influential in a good way! I mean she was a Doctor, a Police Officer, a Vet, a College Student, an Astronaut! Barbie's done everything!

And she teaches little girls from a very early age that women should dress sexy.

I loved Barbie as a kid... and I'm not ashamed to admit it!

As for girls acting older, I see these grade 6 girls ALWAYS wearing short shorts... I call it denim underwear, and it's so sad that they forgot to wear pants!

I'm guilty of wearing "denim underwear" with a long shirt. I have been asked before if I was actually wearing anything undereneath the shirt

But never to school! I draw a line there. When I have to sit next to girls with belts for skirts, it can be... distracting.

I know what you mean... I hate that they show so much... but I love it. o_o

I was talking (ranting) about it with a teacher the other day (he's awesome, btw.)
He said he thinks it's great that we're able to dress how we want, but he doesn't think some girls realise just how much they're showing (or how hard it is not to look when they're giving you an eyeful!)

I know the feeling, like, sometimes, this girl in my history class that sat in front of me, I couldn't stop staring.

I was once caught staring. (It was dealt with in a light-hearted and amused way, luckily!)

Though I did feel like saying something along the lines of "Well, if you're going to put it on display!"

Thing is, I look at almost everyone that way.

I've been caught too, but nearly everyone knows about me, so they talk it as a compliment now.
