| Listen to the second opening theme. There's more swearing in it than all other songs I've heard combined. | |

| I liked the Deatnote movie! (Light's actor was Shuya in Battle Royale!)
I was so exited when Forbidden Planet had it in stock and I could buy it. Now I have to look and see if they have the sequels.
The anime is good (though I think Light sounds too nice in the dub version). The manga is better though I think most manga are better than their anime versions (except for FMA).

| OK, listen up, guys!
Awesome Manga Rec It's called Ludwig Kakumei. Ever heard of it? If you haven't here's why you should check it out: First of all, it's by Kaori Yuki, and she's one of the best manga artists (according to me, but still.) It's a sort of parody of some of the Grimm fairytales. There are well-known ones, like Snow White, and more obscure ones, such as Maid Maleen. The main character is Prince Ludwig, and he's not exactly your usual Prince Charming. He's a total narcissic womanizer often seen wearing leopard print and (what I'm pretty sure is) leather. His father wants him to find a wife (a living one; the prince has a certain... preference at one point, "They're less demanding that way,") so he travels around, meeting princesses and such. To quote him: "What extrodinary breas- I mean, beauty." "Prince Lui, I have gathered information about Sleeping Beauty!" "Did you get her measurements?" The princesses are brilliant too: Snow White, for exemple, is evil with "skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and a heart as black as the deepest darkest void." Many of the princesses are delusionnal, Ludwig tends to be blunt about it. There's also Little Red Riding Hood, she's an assassin who earned her name from her blood-soaked bonnet. It can get "pervy" in some ares (as in the Prince is only interested in girls with gnerous amounts of cleavage.) The Snow White chapter is a darker than the others, so don't let it throw you off completely. You can read the scans hereGo on, check it out! If you haven't already, that is, I've no idea of how well-known it is.

| Nina... these are great! The plot is so twisted... I like it. It's pretty fun reading the scans, I can't believe I'm actually reading a manga! This is addictive and the drawings really are pretty awesome. Thanks! | |

| I watched the Death Note anime, and FMA. I liked both XD Death Note was probably the most suspenseful anime show I'll ever see in my life, and FMA was just... awesome. No question about it. I haven't read much manga, but I've started - here and there, I'll browse a few chapters just to check it out. I have to admit, it confuses me sometimes. | |

| List of manga I have read and liked:
Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne Full Moon wo Sagashite Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Ga-Rei Wedding Peach K-On! Lucky Star Azumanga Daioh Aria (although it's getting kinda boring lately) Digimon V-Tamer Death Note Hana Yori Dango
...And, of course, although technically it's not a manga (it's a light novel series), Suzumiya Haruhi (I'm devoting all my energy to Haruhi-sama right now, which is why my Digimon stories are on hiatus...this is to celebrate the coming of Season 2 of the anime)...
I've probably read more and forgotten to put them here.

| Gack! The Haruhi manga is horrible. It's not even official. Read the light novels. | |

| Hey, hey! Calm down Aster!
Just because something isn't "official" doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed!

| No, no, I didn't mean that! I do like spinoffs (Haruhi-chan, Yuki-chan, Churuya-san) but the Haruhi manga has a horrible drawing style - nobody looks consistent, Koizumi looks like a freak (more so than usual), and it's just...bleh. | |

| Am I the only one who's read Fushigi Yuugi: the Mysterious Play? Seriously. That's the best manga ever. Other (Equally Awesome) Mangas Worth Reading: -Full Moon wo Sagashite -School Rumble -Ceres Celetial Legend -Fruits Basket (duh) -Magical X Miracle -Beauty Pop -Skip-Beat! -Kitchen Princess -Inuyasha (the anime was crap, the manga's pretty good) -FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST!!!! (.................WIN!!) For the most part, I really like anything by Yuu Watase-sensei, as I think she is a genius when it comes to fantasy I really wanna read/watch Death Note, too, but the library's copies are checked out *sob* I loved the movie, though. RYUZAKI'S A BEAST! I loved his Japanese actor, Kenichi Matasuyama. He's amazing! (And Light's great, too, even if he is a twisted S.O.B. ^^) | |

| Ok, so after going on a massive manga binge last summer, I realised that I needed money for food and transport and kicked the habit. I won't lie, I missed trawling the shelves of the book shop for certain volumes and chatting with the assistants, but like I said, I needed the money. THEN. At MCM, there was a small stall selling books for £1 each- £1?! That's at least £6 cheaper than the average manga. Of course, there were no mainstream series', I hadn't heard of most of them. But one in particular caught my eye- ReaLise by Lee Si Young. The style is really beautiful, and it contained three short stories- How Martians conquer the Earth/Is it really impossible?/Science Fiction Story. I read it three times in succession before putting it down, it was that good. Also, technically it's not a manga. It's Korean Manwha and it reads front to back. Needless to say, I went back the next day and bought every "ice Kunion" labeled manwha they had | |
