Dark Side.

::Ken::

I may not have seen them, but I certainly felt them when they bumped into me. I groaned as the side of my head collided with the pavement - no Blondie there to cushion the fall this time - and I looked up to see who had the nerve to interrupt my "me time".

It was that singer-girl from the café.

I blinked at her as she got up and dusted herself off, apologising for crashing into me.

I said nothing, but motioned for her to sit beside me. My lonely self was screaming for some sane company.

::Hikari::
I sat on the cold concrete next to the Blue boy from earlier... He seemed seriously bummed out about something. And he was shivering.

"Um... How are you?"

::Ken::

"Pretty shitty, seeing as how some people don't like to explain themselves, and instead just walk off like nothing's wrong, like no, they didn't just make out with you five seconds ago..." I sighed, thoroughly exasperated with Blondie and his antics. "And you?"

::Hikari::
It was more than tempting to spill my guts out to Blue, but it was cold and the concrete was hard.

"Look, I know this is weird because I hardly know you and you might be a pyscho murderer, but do you want to come to my apartment? It's warm, we can have a hot drink and bitch about the industry." I jumped to my feet and held out my hand.

"Please?"

::Ken::

Did I have anything better to do? No. Was I tired, lost, and confused? Yes.

I took her hand and let her lead me away from my consoling wall. I hoped Blondie could hear me right now as I looked forward to a nice, cozy couch and heat. Hot chocolate sounded nice right about now, complete with little marshmallows, of course.

We finally arrived at her apartment, and I waited patiently as she unlocked the door.

::Yuri::

Damn. All night and not one girl. I reach for the vodka, only to find it empty. All my pockets were empty too. Damn. What a night.

I decide to trek back to the nightclub to...acquire...more alchohol.

That was when I see a new girl. Mexican, I think.

::Sora::

I was worried about Kari. Even though we hadn't talked much when I'd dated her brother, I'd learned to differentiate her moods, and I could tell now that something was up.

We drove away in the end, and I felt bad for Takeru. I thought him and Kari had something going on, but I guess I was wrong. Still, it might be a bit awkward for him, or me.
They are brothers after all, I could totally end up being the one shut out while they did some brotherly bonding.
Heck, I wouldn't know! I'm an only child for Christ's sake!

At least Yamato trusts me enough to let me go to his place after everything that has happened though.

Miyako

"Was it that easy to tell?" I asked, my voice dripping with sarcasm. I didn't know if I should be insulted, being told that I looked eager to rant... (which in my book, sounded something close to desperate.)

Willis looked surprised and I felt just a little bad. I was always biting people's heads off. Who was I to complain?

I opened my mouth, probably to apologise... but neither one of us expecting the strings of words that began spewing out.

I was ranting. I couldn't stop myself, even though I was dying with mortification inside... I was going on and on about the boring life of working 24/7 at a convenience store, how my family didn't seem to think that I had a life, how every guy I've ever gone out with were the "dumpers", and how I had gotten a navel piercing today solely because I wanted my life to be a little more exciting...

I stopped to draw breathe. His eyes were wide open...

Shit. Had I fucked this up (again)?

::Yamato::

"Well wasn't that random...? So..." I tured to Takeru, "go anyone you wanna invite? What about you Sora?"



::Taichi::

"Sorry to break up this precious moment but I think I'm gonna go. Get better, Dai. Later Man-chan."

"Man-chan?" Daisuke asked confused. I pointed at Jun and he burst into laughter. "That's a good one! Onee-man-chan! I love it!"

I smiled at Daisuke's enthusiasm and Jun's anger.

Takeru

At the sound of my name, I woke up with a start.

"...Huh? Invite what?"

Daisuke

I looked over at the blonde girl with the concerned eyes. Foreign languages had always been my forte, and while my French was nowhere near as good as my English, I had a pretty good idea of what she had called me.

She suddenly shivered. I couldn't really be bothered by it, but I had to frown. I spoke to her, "I'm sorry, but... do I know you?"

The strange man that had come in with Jun interrupted before she could speak. He was leaving? But I had just woken up!

It was then that he said the most hilarious thing I had ever heard. Man-chan. Hah. I couldn't stop the grin from appearing on my face as he pointed towards Jun and signified that as her new nickname.

The man was funny. Maybe it really was Taichi. After all, Taichi was hilarious.

I wanted to confirm it, but the man had already gone when I turned back to him. Hmm...

Jun noticed I was in deep thought. She nudged me, "What're you thinking?"

"That was Taichi-san?" I asked her.

She nodded, "Yeah... kinda... he's going through his own little problems right now."

I didn't fully hear. I had more important things on my mind. "Oneechan," I said in all seriousness, "Do you think I should get a haircut like that too?"

She rolled her eyes, "Don't be ridiculous. Now you just stay here, I'm going to go talk to the nurses and find out when you'll be ready to leave."

She left me there, and that other girl seemed to step in closer to me once Jun had gone.

::Taichi::

I decided to leave because really what happened between Jun and Daisuke was none of my business. That crazy chick was there and I felt like telling her to go away, it was a family moment, but whatever. Not my place... she wants to nag at people... that's on her.

It was roughly 1 AM and I still wasn't ready to go home. Was the night not still young? Shouldn't I at least seek out some satisfaction tonight. I mean, spending time with Man-chan was alright. But pretending to be Kohaku didn't exactly work in my favor.

The air was humid. Sticky and smelled strongly of rain. Still... it was fucking hot out here. Well that could only mean one thing.

And when I turned my gaze to the sky... it was confirmed. Clouds...

Oh yeah... thunder storm.

Time to go find a high building and an antenna.


::Yamato::

"I said invite whoever you want to my house. But tell them it's mostly BYOB. I'm a little lacking in beverages right now." I watched Takeru nod from the rearview window and drove on.

I don't know what made me think of a party. I'd expect that my reaction would be a little more... panicked? I had afterall lost my vision for a good hour, if not more. I still had dried blood caked to my eyelashes and cheeks.

But I couldn't exactly remember what happened.

I knew I followed Hikari out of the club because she was fighting with Sora. Sora was dancing with... dammit! Who was she with before this all happened!? He hit me with a beer bottle... no, a VODKA bottle...

YURI!

"Sora," I called innocently, "Do you know where Yuri is right now?"

Takeru

"Okay." As my befuddled mind started to awake, I ran through the people that I could probably invite. After some thinking, I realised that... there weren't too many. Well, that was just depressing.

Then I heard Yamato say the name... "Yuri."

I frowned. "What about him?"

Miyako

That had to be the MOST mortifying moment of my life. I don't know what came over me, but I knew I needed to leave... like now. I muttered some lame excuse and hurried away and out of the club.

UGH.

I ran blindly toward the street and ran across the road, half-crashing into a car at the red light in the process. It honked loudly at me and yeah, it was my fault for jaywalking, but in a fit of rash anger, I turned around wildly and gave the car a swift kick in the door.

Was that a dent I had just made? Damn, I didn't know I was THAT strong.

Just when I didn't think the day could get any worse...

::Yamato::

"I want to invite Yuri to the party," I answered Takeru's question politely. I did have plans for Yuri, but they were my secret. "Do you know where he might be right now," I pulled up to a red light and turned to my brother, "Takeru?"

There was a loud thud and the car shook slightly. I was startled and hit the horn. Sora leaned over her seat belt and peered out the window. "I think that girl just ran into the car."

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" I yelled blindly, the bright city lights obsuring my version of the... girl? Girls are fun... especially at parties.

::Yuri::

With the bouncers out cold, Takeru and Hikari gone, and everyone else too busy to notice, I was able to stick a few bottles in my pockets and up my sleeves. I took a couple litres of milk for good measure too.

And I see a glow stick-baton-thing. Looks cool. I take it too.

Pouring myself one last glass, I step outside to see Miyako-san put a dent in someone's car. Holy hell. Note to self: don't mess with her.

Miyako

A head poked out of the car window... isn't that Yamato? I stared at the fresh dent in his car, feeling both a mixture of satisfaction and dread.

"I was, er, kicking a can and I missed!" I blurted out.

::Willis::
Whu-whu-WHAT!? I'm so confused... First Ken, now Miyako- where has everybody gone?

Outside. Everybody must've gone outside (the Russian doesn't count, he's to busy raiding the bar). I'll go outside too.

"MII-YAA-KO-CHAAN?!"


::Hikari::
To turns of the key and a sturdy kick later, and we were in. Home sweet home- or something like that. At least it's warm. I turn to my companion.

"Hot chocolate with marshmallows?"

Takeru

I, too, stuck my head out of the window, only to see a flustered looking purple haired girl face to face with my furious brother. There was a rather spectacular dent in the car. Ouch, Yamato's not going to like this...

Out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw a distant figure lurking about. He looked distinctly familiar. There was no mistaking that annoying billowing trenchcoat...

Miyako

Yamato was still glaring at me and I felt myself turning a brilliant shade of red that would surely go wonderfully with my hair. I was spluttering like an idiot and yet I couldn't bring myself to back away.

"MII-YAA-KO-CHAAN?!"

What was that? Was someone calling me? I turned around wildly but could see nobody. The voice was unmistakable though...

And so I did the first thing that came to my mind.

"WIIIILL-LIIIIIIS???!!!!"

::Willis::
She was there- in the middle of the road. There was a car... people in a car? Omfg they're gunna run her over!

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

I sped towards her, but she was the otherside of the car now- I hadn't a moment to loose. Slackening my jaw to avoid broken teeth, I launch myself at the car. Mid-air, I realise it would've probably been easier to just walk around, but no... I slide across the bonnet, tumbling into my resucee, Miyako.

We roll across the floor, ending up crouched against the wall. There's a girl in the car, she's staring at us. She does not look happy.

"Stay still," I whisper to Miyako, "Everybody knows gingers can't see you if you don't move."

Miyako

One minute I was shouting at the top of my lungs, next minute a blurred something was hurtling toward me...

And then we're rolling across the floor, coming to a sudden stop at a wall.

"Owch." Was the only thing I could manage at first. I opened my eyes, which I had unknowingly squeezed shut during our little adventure, to see Willis right in front of me. He was saying something about gingers. I couldn't help letting out a very un-Miyakolike giggle.

"Why not?" I squirmed a little just for the fun for it. "We all know how fun rolling on the ground is."

Takeru

What. the. heck. just happened?

::Yamato::

I sat back in utter shock as a head of blond hair sailed past my window. I looked back at where the girl was standing and she was gone. I turned to Takeru who's expression mirrored mine. "What the fuck was that?"

Sora was less than pleased by the recent turn of events... maybe she needed to relax. I leaned over her and smiled out the window. "Uh sorry about that folks. Party later tonight... 875 Sokeru Drive. Apt 7E. Check it out. BYOB!"

I punched the gas and we sped away.

Takeru and Sora were both regarding me strangely... "What?"

::Willis::
Party? BYOB? WHAT IS THIS!?

I stumbled to my feet, gathered my wits about me and looked to the sky to inspiration.

And inspiration hit me like oh-so-much helium.

"Miyako, do I need a push-up bra?"

Miyako

BYOB? I'm sure I knew once what that stood for. My mind now drew a blank... but Willis' question was like the light at the end of the tunnel. It came to me all at once!

I threw my hands in the air and shouted to the heavens.

"BRING YOUR OWN BRA!!!!"

Then I realised that he was still waiting for my answer. I scrutinized him intently for a moment. "Well... that, and lots of stuffing too, my dahling."

Takeru

"She just made a dent in your beloved car, and you're inviting her to your party? That's not like the Yamato I know!" I shook my head. "And you're also thinking of inviting the guy that blinded you... what's up with that?"

::Yamato::

"It's all in the name of forgiveness my adorable little brother."

Oh yeah, forgiveness. Nice cover up, Yamato.

"So did either of you find Yuri?"

::Ken::

I shuffled around a bit, muttering a vague, "Sure..." before kicking off my shoes and heading to the couch. She bustled around the kitchen as I took in my new surroundings, and realised that she must own a cat, because I was covered in cat fur from the couch and because it smelled like cat as well.

Her house smelled like cat and soup.

Sure enough, a little fuzz-ball jumped swiftly onto the couch where it proceeded to sit on my lap, and stroke me with its paw. I petted it back cautiously; trying not to scare it away. We held a mini-staring contest until the hot chocolate arrived.
