I've had this idea for a little while but I'm not sure if I should go through with this. Please tell me what you think.

The main idea is this: Hikari Yagami was found murdered by locals one morning. Local police investigate but there are no leads; finally, a renowned detective is brought in on the case because the manner of death resembles that of a similar murder. As the investigation goes on, secrets come out.

Characters:

Hikari, the seemingly innocent and popular resident of Odaiba who is found murdered by a jogger. She was one of the nicest peope in town and had a seemingly perfect lifestyle so who would want to kill her?

Takeru, Hikari's boyfriend. He is the town Golden Boy and is deeply in love with Hikari. Or is he?

Ken, a sensitive loner and biker. Has a secret connection with Hikari.

Sora, the detective assigned to Hikari's case though she is at risk for too much emotional inovlment considering she was raised by the Yagamis when her family became too unstable. Is really close with the victim's brother...

Taichi, Hikari's brother and soccer player. His sister's murder brings him back to his old town and he resolves to take a break from playing until Hikari's murderer is brought to justice. He's a bit of a play boy but is extremely close to his childhood friend Sora.

Mimi, the brilliant dective brought in to solve Hikari's murder. She is very eccentric which concerns her fellow detectives and the townspeople. Has an uncanny knack for understanding/reading people.

Yamato, Takeru's brother. He is a rags-to-riches story in the town. He owns several popular clubs in diffrent cities. Once he sets himself to a goal he is nearly impossible to stop.

That's all I got so far. There'll be some couples but the only ones I can really reveal without using spoilers are Taiora and Mimato. There's going to be a lot more though.

It's kind of a mystery but it's more about how well people can truly know each other and what kind of secrets could they have.
