Uh, so this is essentially a few months late.
But I figured today was a good day to sit down and write it, so here it is (finally).

Blue by emotionless-robot
Blue, blue skies.
That was all Davis really cared about at the moment. Standing on his balcony, looking down at the streets below (and the sky above), he unconsciously decided that today was most definitely a soccer-playing day.
It didn't take long for him to rustle up the rest of his friends, and soon they were jaunting along the streets, heading towards the park to play and hang out for a while, just the six of them together.
Davis tossed the ball in the air over and over again, catching it every time. TK and Kari were behind him, asking Cody about his schooling for the upcoming year. Ken walked silently, listening to everyone’s inane babbling and smiling slightly to himself. Yolei mindlessly chattered in front of Davis, no doubt under the impression that he was listening. Davis’s internal voice snickered, but he was in too good of a mood to completely ignore his purple-haired friend like he would on most days.
Davis felt like now that summer had officially begun, the entire world was his for the taking. After almost a year of being a Digidestined, Davis was…
happier. He knew that not everything was perfect—his school grades could testify to
that—but he also knew that as long as there were days like this with blue, blue skies and friends of infinite valour, nothing could go wrong.
