I disagree! A good writer can make a character "anything" and still have the story be interesting too._________________ I'm not lazy, I'm just energetically-challenged! |

| but then in a writers POV writing and angsty Matt in the beginning gives him a lot more room for character development and story development cuz you will always have the reader wondering why is he so troubled? Whats happened? etc. |

| Yeah, but that doesn't mean you always have to introduce Matt in this manner, right? It would get so repetitive if all Matt-centric stories feature him as a mysteriously angsty person with oh-so-dark secrets! _________________ I'm not lazy, I'm just energetically-challenged! |

| It wouldn't "get so" it already "IS!" Even in Adventure, Matt was lonely, sure. But he wasn't anti-social. He's was cooperative and his outbursts could be blamed on the fact that, um... idk... they were in another world! Besides, I think I've heard all the theories on "why" Matt was so emo and how he "changed." _________________ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ This is war Every line is about who I don’t want to write about anymore

I once read an AU where Matt had accidentally killed TK. Yup, that got him pretty angsty. Thing is, I laughed during the big revelation, so yeah, there goes the effect.
While Matt was emo/angsty in 01, I think it was good because he was just a little angst-pot; he had other aspects to him. I don't really like the fics where you only see that side of him, there's more to him that that! Angsting doesn't make him deep if that's all he's doing. _________________ I have my own reality, thank you very much. ~ "I was biting down hard on my lip, as I wrote you a poem in orange felt tip."
