| So, you wonder, why is it called "02"? Why not "Digimon Adventure 2"? There won't be 10 seasons! Simply because 02 does NOT mean Season 2! 02 refers to the year it takes place. Adventure takes place in 1999; 02 takes place in 2002, three years later (not four, English dub watchers). Thus "02" refers to "2002". So this is why I have such a pet peeve over seeing things like Adventure being called "Digimon Adventure 01" or a fanfiction post-25 years or more than 1 year later "Digimon Adventure 03" or a post-Tamers/Frontier/Savers "Digimon Tamers 02" or "Frontier 02" or "Savers/Data Squad 02". 02 = 2002. End of story.
