| Forgive me if the answer's so simple I appear terribly stupid but is there already an existing explanation on how the Digiworld came to be? I've only managed to narrow it down to after the internet was developed. If not, I'm having ideas for a good lore about it. |

| DigimonWiki holds the collection of common "truths" as to how the Digital World was created and I'm way too lazy to copy and paste the entire thing soooo... just click on the link ----> Digital World, and be amazed (or not.) Though it is always fun to hear a new take on the "creation." Lore away, my friend! _________________ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ This is war Every line is about who I don’t want to write about anymore

| Bookmarked the link. I never imagined the different series are set in separate Digital Worlds. I'll finish reading it later, I'm writing right now. Thanks! |

| Sorry for double-posting, moderators! Well, it does tell us when the digiworld began to form (I'm keenly interested in s1 for this) but it's still very hazy. From what I read, the digiworld suddenly existed with the activation of the ABC. No explanation was given on how the digiworld came to be. Or maybe they just don't like the thought of creation (Back when I first watched S1, I was thinking Gennai wrote a program and eventually daveloped it, actually. Which explains why he lives there.) Something random, Princess. We share the same birthday, June 20! (I think we're the only ones with this distinction). But then with 42 people, you have a higher than 10% chance of that occurring so I don't know if you feel that ecstatic about it.

| This is sort of tied to the Digital World orgins. The Digital World might have been around longer than humans have had computers. I was reading the translation of the Mimi mini-drama "Video Mail" and in it she said that a collegue of her father's told her about the totems Native American tribes had. The totems looked like animals so Mimi thought that Digimon might have started out as totems. _________________ Because I'm worth Kaname.

| I really hadn't thought about this much... Perhaps it came to be about the same time as Earth and developed in the same manner? I mean, just because it is the Digital World, doesn't mean it's not a physical state. The name "Digital" could just relate to the way of transportation between the worlds. I know Izzy had a theory back in Adventure about them all being data, but if that were the case, then why would they be in danger? (I know this is a reference to season 4, but it ties into my theory) Crusadermon said that "flesh is data, and data is flesh". A rose by any other name is just as sweet, so why should this case be any different? Aaaaaaaaaand there's my over-analyzed two cents. XD I'll shut up now. _________________ This picture is made of epic win. SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME EPIC WIN. |

| True but, at least in my mind, I think they could have had a similar beginning. |

| well no (sorry this talks a little about tamers for a second) Adventure digital world started differently to tamers, because adventure was created naturally kind of like a Big Bang whereas tamers digital world was man-made |

| I haven't really watched tamers to know but let's not talk about it here. What makes you say the Digital World in Adventure was created in a Big Bang fashion? |

| It brings to mind one of my earlier ideas, some cat walked across the ABC's keyboard and accidentally programmed a digimon(most likely datamon, so he just extended the programming into a digital world). What book is it you're reading, is it canon?

| well it was written by bandai so i think its canon and its called Digimon: The Companions Guide its just a small book that tells you a little bit about every Digimon seen in Adventure 01 and then at the back its got a little about the DigiWorld and Crests etc. |

| Oh, I see. Aw, I wish the Phlippines had more digimon fans. Then we'd have stuff like that available in anime stores. |
