This isn't so much a current affair as it is trivial, but I found it pretty interesting.

It's an article about a girl who got a lot more tattoos than she asked for. She wanted 3 little stars and now has half a face of them.

There's also a video, beneath the picture, where you can see the tattooist's... interesting lip piercings. XD

Anyway, the thing is, when I saw just the little picture of the girl from a distance I thought it looked quite cool (that picture of her in the tattooist's boook is quite pretty.) Once I looked at her as a person (especially in the video), however, my opinion changed. She's obviously suffering and it takes all the atention away from her natural features. When you look at her all you see are those stars. I can understand why she's so upset about it.

This got me thinking: When we see 'beautiful people' do we really see them as people? Are they just blank canvases for 'beauty' to be slapped on to?

I remember hearing this... it's her fault for falling asleep, imo.
And she could have written it down... 3 STARS.

Personally, yeah, I see them at people, but I do see your point about blank canvases... I'm in a pickle now XD

That girl had to be drunk off her behind to fall asleep. Tattoos don't tickle! Especially on the face, there's less fatty tissue and more bone, it would hurt a lot.

Though some of the stars look a little pretty. The artist does look a bit shady (no profiling intended).

Aaaaaaaaand that's why I stay away from tattoo parlors, period.

Belgian Girl with Face Tattooed Now Pregnant

A Belgian teen girl who went to a tattoo parlour to have 3 little stars tattooed near her left eye and woke up with 56 stars tattooed on her face is now reported to be pregnant.

The girl said she gave a boy in a club permission to kiss her three time on her cheek but can't remember what happened next.

When she work up there were 56 naked young men in her bedroom yodelling and singing Oktoberfest songs.

It's not clear how or why she fell asleep and remained sleeping for so long while 56 young men had there way with her and there are allegations that drugs or some other means were a factor.

"I think they didn't understand what I wanted," the teenager explained to me. "the first boy spoke only fractured English and French, but I explicitly said in my native tongue, French, that I wanted three little kisses on my cheek."

"Now I'm pregnant by 56 young boys and my bum is sore too."

The 56 young men who were in the girl's room when she woke up insist the teen asked for them to come to her room to inspect here tattoos, "I have one for each and every one of you boys" and that allegations that they "doped" or "hypnotized" her are untrue.

In a hearty chorus with a solid baritone baseline the group of young men expressed themselves in the words of the traditional Belgian folksong.

"The young maiden from the fields is sad today but she will make a good mother for our child tomorrow."

She has announced she is changing her name to "Moko."
