I live in Los Angeles...the economy here is horrific! I've been searching for a job since before December. I worked at a work comp collections agency...you know it's bad when even the people who get hurt at work aren't being taken care of properly!

Hm...I don't know how bad Canada's gotten. I know about GM, Chrysler, and Ford (was it those three), but they're American companies anyway. And there's been a bit of job positions getting cancelled.

Suicides are up here.

Just heard on the radio that things are supposed to get worse in Canada...

I'm not allowed to touch my bank account yet. *sighs the sigh of teenage angst* And the only money I have is to get my hair dyed sometime soon...

All in all, my tiny town has yet to be majorly affected, for which I am grateful.

I've been using my bank account, ALOT. According to statistics from the govt (or so I heard) its estimated that about 90,000 people will lose their jobs next year. For a teeny country that's pretty terrible!

Oh, and there was the whole AIA thing.

Hmm, the actual crisis hasn't reached Greece yet, but many people have been fired or demoted "preventively". In other European countries they're talking about cutting down on taxes and prices, but in Greece taxes and prises will rise, because the country is in huge debt.
And I've heard that an enterpreuner committed suiside falling from the capital's citadel... I wonder what'll happen when the actual crisis hits us.

Yeah...everythings getting tight now. I don't even want to image how it's going to get. They've done all these stimulous bailouts and things still aren't looking right. They freaking bailed out the car companies. What good is that when people don't even have the money to buy cars! And then the banks, a while back they gave the banks money, and now no one knows what happened to it.

I cant get a job because either nobody is hiring, or they are closing. It really is one or the other.

However, we're getting this new block of buildings... well shops, so I may get lucky.

I'm in Ontario too, but it's Toronto/Hamilton, so they're pretty big cities, and might get affected more. Then again, I don't pay much attention to anything except for maybe gas prices.
