Sorry, I guess I should have explained myself a bit more. Matt and Benign, are, like Potgenie said, StarCraft nerdies! lol. And also like Potgenie said and as you've discovered, Benign is boarderline obsessive about it. While Matt's the music guy, he also plays the game.
But it was all meant in fun. I guess the joke was more inside, sorry about that.
Anywho...
Tippy, I think your tutor is just some girl who really hates her job but will have you do mundane things just to get your parents' money.
Googles, you're way too hard on yourself. The point is you tried, and no one can ever take that away from you. Most people can only sit back and want to play piano, violin, and even audition for a music school, but at least you did. Take pride in that much and ease off on what the world around you thinks. Mkay?
(Why do I suddenly feel motivational speaker-ish? Yeah, I think I'll shut up now.)_________________ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ This is war Every line is about who I don’t want to write about anymore

| Gee, you are a Starcraft super-fan, benignuser. I'm wondering which of the DT's you liked better. If anything, I guess what happened to me woke me up to the harshness of reality. Here's an essay a younger self made around 2005-2006 which I just found. It was my first fluffy essay (or at least my first attempt at one). | Quote: | My Grandfather’s Fingers A Portrait by Goggles
It was a warm Sunday morning. The rays of sunlight peeked through our screened windows that showed clear blue skies. The morning would have stayed silent were it not for the man who had arrived just outside our gate. ‘Yaaa-haaa!’ Without a moment’s notice, he called out to everyone inside our house. The old man walked with a cane and an umbrella every Sunday morning and knocked on our gate at around 8:30am signalling another piano lesson.
It is now ten years since his visits began and five since they stopped because of his foot’s rheumatism. My grandfather was well over the age of sixty when he first taught me how to use the piano. His hands were old, wrinkled and sported many angry veins. In other words, they were hideous. But the speed and accuracy of those hideous hands were beyond measure. Every time you play a wrong note, those hands would zoom out of nowhere and slap the back of whichever hand pressed the wrong key.
My grandfather had a hearing problem. We would often move beside him and yell into his ear just for him to understand what we were trying to say. Yet, he always heard a wrong note no matter how soft it was or how much it was buried in the sounds of other notes. His fast, accurate, hideous hands were like something out of a horror movie. My hands, however, were of no contest to his. My hands could never move fast enough and was subject to constant slapping.
But every time he arched his gnarled fingers over the brown piano’s keys, he would fill the whole house with the glorious melody, the majestic harmony, and the subtle intricacy that only his hands had achieved. He taught me not only the art of playing the piano and reading notes. He taught me more about how I should spend my live: to live out your childhood because old age will come. When it does, age with the stature of a hunchback, the reputation of a lion, and the grace of a swan. And no matter how old your hands may become, how furious their veins may look like, and how gnarled and ugly your fingers may be, your hands will always be beautiful.
|
It made my morning lots brighter today. I hope it does to someone else, as well. |

Oh, no, I hate all DT's because you don't get an Under Attack warning when they're destroying your drones. _________________ StarCraft players dance better than SuJu.

| Whaaa? I'm not weird. And 'sides, it's a perfectly comprehensible sentence if you've ever played StarCraft competitively. Humph! _________________ StarCraft players dance better than SuJu.
